To some inside the Republican circle, Trey Gowdy is a rising star.
But to others including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he is a thorn in their side. And now the representative from South Carolina has set his sights on the Obama Administrations lack of enforcing the current illegal immigration laws and jeopardizing the safety of the American people.
Gowdy is one of the only Republicans taking action against the Obama administration for its involvement for allowing the current illegal immigrant crisis to continue. The way Obama and his administration have been allowing this situation to grow and by stopping the U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency is preventing the efforts to combat illegal immigrants that continue coming across the border in waves. Also irritating Gowdy and it should be irritating us is that the Obama Administration is also granting amnesty to millions of the illegal immigrants by the use of illegal and unconstitutional executive orders.
Trey Gowdy stated recently at a hearing on examining the victims of illegal immigrant crime:
“Today there are over 350,000 known criminal aliens in the United States who are not detained by ICE, 350,000. That number may not get your attention — statistics rarely do — so I want you to think about it this way. The number of criminal aliens living in the United States, not in custody, not separated from society, it larger than the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Larger than the city of Lexington, Kentucky, larger than the city of Anaheim, California,†he asked. “Can you imagine a city the size of Pittsburgh, comprised sole of people who are here unlawfully who have also committed another crime?â€
With Obama’s illegal use of the executive orders on illegal immigration currently being argued and debated before the Supreme Court, Trey’s patient is being pushed by the deceptive arguments of Obama’s attorney.
“Just yesterday the lawyer for the president was at it again, this time at the United States Supreme Court, arguing for the nonenforcement of the law, arguing for the wholesale failure to enforce the law,†Gowdy said. “And he said this: ‘The damage that would be wreaked by tearing apart families.’ If you want to see that damage, Mr. Solicitor General, if you want to see what tearing apart looks like, I hope you’re watching this morning.â€
If you are not ticked off by Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders then you are a die hard liberal but if you are ticked off by them then you should be applauding Trey Gowdy for calling out the Obama administration on them.
