UPDATE Breaking : Shooter at Maryland Mall- Several Shot, 1 Confirmed Dead

There have been two shootings each within 20 minutes and 8 miles of each other.

The first shooting took place outside the Westfield Montgomery Mall around 11:30 am. Where 2 men and 1 woman were shot. There is no word yet on how the 3 victims are doing, all three were taken to local hospitals. The suspect is still at large however police do have a person of interest.

Police do not have a motive yet but MCP Assistant Chief Darryl McSwain told reporters:

The first mall shooting happened after a “confrontation” in the parking lot, McSwain said.

“One individual was shot. Two other individuals came to that person’s aid” and were also shot, he told reporters.

Police do not believe the victims and the shooter knew each other, “but we are certainly looking at all angles,” McSwain said.

20 minutes later (11:50 am) police responded to a SECOND shooting outside a different mall.

A woman was killed outside a Giant Food supermarket at the Aspen Hill Shopping Center. This poor woman did not survive.

It is unknown if both these shootings are related, if the shooter was the same, the weapon and so far no motive can be established. No names have been released yet as to who the victims were. The MCP released a statement saying:

All local schools and hospitals are in lock down.

While police still search for answers they remain open to the idea that todays two shootings could be related to the shooting yesterday in Beltsville.

The Montgomery County Police Department reported to a shooting in Beltsville where 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil allegedly shooting and killed his estranged wife in the parking lot of a local High School. He has not been caught yet. Police are still looking for him.
