5 Police Officers Injured as #MayDaySea Turns Violent
Demonstrators broke windows, and vandalized and spray painted cars and buildings. Police on bicycles in riot gear pushed the protesters into a Costco parking lot, and then allowed them to disperse in small groups. At least nine people were arrested.
It’s not the first time there has been violence or arrests at Seattle’s May Day gatherings. In 2015, 16 people were arrested and in 2014, 10 were arrested.
