The White House is reportedly in a state of lockdown amid reports a person jumped the fence.
The individual sparked a security alert after jumping the fence by the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, according to CQ Roll Call’s John Bennett.
He said: ‘I was leaving and got sequestered in the security building. There was a jumper at the EEOB.’
Bennett added that Secret Service agents requested a stretcher and the individual is in a moat.
Reporters inside the building shared images from inside on social media writing that the area appears to be in lockdown.
‘View from inside the White House, where we appear to currently be on lockdown,’ tweeted AP reporter Josh Lederman alongside an image of security forces.
‘We are in lockdown but all seems mostly calm,’ he added.
A Fox News reporter’s live report from the White House was cut short when Secret Service agents started clearing tourists from the sidewalk.
The North Lawn and surrounding areas were being evacuated
