Natasha West, 27, went with a group of her friends to a local Denny’s with hopes of twisting the rules and scoring some free pancakes. After being informed that the $4-all-you-can-eat pancake meal couldn’t be shared with her entourage, she flew into a mad rage and proceeded to hurl swear words and punches at the waitress.
West argued that the restaurant’s website never clearly stated that she was not allowed to share the meal with other individuals.
“We start you off with three fluffy buttermilk pancakes and then deliver them hot, two at a time, until you’ve had your fill.”
The website does indicate that “restrictions may apply,” but does not specifically state that the meal is intended for one person. Regardless of the apparent mix-up, West and her party threw a huge fit and were thrown out of the restaurant literally kicking and screaming.
Denny’s workers gave police a description of West and the people who accompanied her, and they were all later apprehended. West was charged with assault and damage to property.
I’m pretty sure that if she would have just calmly explained her complaint, the Denny’s staff could have accommodated her in some way, but instead she chose to cause a huge scene for which the fines I’m sure are way more than 4 dollars.
